Loving Max in Home Care is a family business owned by Sara Nogueira and Esmeraldo Silva. Sara became a caregiver in 2003 when she had to care for her first born, Max — the namesake of this business. Max was born with Congenital Disorder Glycosylation (CDGs) and Sara became his primary care provider until he passed away in 2006.
Since then, Sara has dedicated herself to helping aging people and those with disabilities with their daily tasks, developing caring relationships built on trust and compassion.
"Our goal is to help our clients maintain and maximize their independence — facilitating a person to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible in the setting of their home."
Sara has been a dedicated caregiver since 2003. Her deeply personal journey with her son Max shaped her into the compassionate professional she is today.
Esmeraldo has extensive experience caring for people since the 1990s. He graduated from Portland Community College with a Business Administration degree.
